Shift : 1st shift 7 : 00am-3 : 00pm and Every Other Weekend
Job Description
Identifies and documents maladaptive behavioral issues / concerns through observation of residents and review of individual records, in addition to the accumulation, summarization, and review of relevant data as necessary
- Develops, implements, and monitors PMI / mental illness programs to decrease maladaptive behaviors
- Reviews, demonstrates, and instructs appropriate team members in the implementation and documentation of established behavioral programs and intervention strategies
- Assists with the general supervision of the unit in compliance with protocols established by the care center
- Provide services that seek to create a safe and secure environment.
- Undertake activities designed to identify, deter, abate, or correct situations, both routine and emergent, that are within the scope of responsibility as they occur.
- Ensure client, visitor and staff safety.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedure
- Assist with shower programs, ADL programs, behaviors related to toileting, and feeding programs.

Qualifications
- Must hold a valid CNA license in the state of Iowa
- Psychology / human services-related degree or a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience working with the mentally ill, utilizing behavior management strategies and techniques
- Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
