So, what will you be doing?
In this role, you will be responsible for handling transactional work for the Northern Pellet Operations including Finance, Capital Projects, and Joint Ventures. The work will include vendor agreements, purchase agreements, consulting agreements and NDAs. You will also assist with contract management, risk mitigation measures, insurance, employment matters, corporate governance, environmental, health and safety matters and support any other projects as needed. You will report into the Deputy General Counsel for North America.

Do you have at least 8 years of experience as an attorney with a combination of in-house and private firm experience? Then keep reading.
Key Accountabilities:
- Review and negotiate vendor agreements and other agreements as described above
- Help manage the review of new vendors
- Help manage contract repository, contract forms, and facilitate contract execution
- Assist the Northern Pellet Operations Leadership team with business matters
- Develop efficiencies to manage a large or fluctuating workload
- Develop close working relationships with other departments within Northern Operations
- Understand commercial trends in contracts
- Manage corporate governance and company secretary matters
- Identify and evaluate business and legal risks and find creative ways to mitigate while achieving business goals
- Work effectively with outside counsel on all business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
- Ability to negotiate and review contracts, including NDAs and vendor agreements
- Efficient time management skills, and ability to prioritize and handle a large volume of work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgment, and strong interpersonal, project management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Good business acumen
- Ability to work well in a team environment; This is a must
