Purpose
The Corporate Technical Trainer/Quality Manager develops, coordinates, and maintains quality scorecards to meet business objectives and customer expectations. Evaluates technical employees and identifies areas needing improvement. Prepares training materials and sessions for groups or individuals.
Responsibilities

Provides direct leadership to technical staff by leading, managing, supporting, and coaching members ensuring continual development of competencies.

Trains personnel in the implementation of environmental testing equipment inspection policies and procedures.

Lead, teach, onboard, and evaluate new technical employees.

Evaluates performance of technical employees and identifies areas of improvement.
-
Evaluates and monitors employee performance based on: goals, metrics, performance plans and assessments. Develops performance objectives, provides coaching and counseling while documenting appropriate training.

Drives corrective action to facilitate process improvements within the facilities.

Provides reports on success and progress of technical employees and quality performance.
-
Ensure employees are compliant with safety and environmental regulations.
-
Travel may be up to 30% of the year.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for implementing and executing inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure that products adhere closely to company standards.

Works with all levels of employees to resolve problems and to ensure compliance to quality and business targets.

Devise technical training programs according to organizational requirements

Produce training schedules and classroom agenda

Determine course content according to objectives

Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.)

Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed

Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.

Observe and evaluate results of training programs

Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements

Prepare reports by collecting data on inspections or other aspects such as production line cleanliness which are analyzed in detail.

Supervise technicians to provide guidance and feedback

Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards

Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements

Approve the right products or reject defectives

Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis

Submit reports when required

Ability to independently generate presentations and reports and present them to senior management team.

Proven experience as technical trainer

Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects

Experience in designing technical course content

Ability to address training needs with complete courses

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
Education/Experience
BA/BS degree preferred or 5 equivalent years of relevant experience.
2 or more years of leadership experience.
Environment

This is a safety-sensitive position. Employee will be in an office and/or warehouse environment. Employee will bend, walk, stand and may sit for long periods of time.
