Pines Behavioral Health is looking for a non-traditional counselor, contractually employed 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. M-F and available for persons during the day that need a crisis evaluation, mobile crisis response, unscheduled counseling session, or a check-in based on risk issues. This counselor will not carry a caseload, but will rather meet the immediate needs of persons with a mental health condition or substance use disorder in between, or prior to, their ongoing appointments. Group, individual, and/or crisis intervention (including a mobile response with teammate) may be the necessary intervention based on the person's needs. In addition - and separately compensated - this counselor will participate on the evening mobile crisis team (5 p.m. - 11 p.m.) on rotational days. Master’s degree with a Michigan licensure in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work, or a Registered Nurse. Experience with children and adult mental health, as well as substance use required.
