Team Lead

Position Details:

• As a Team Leader, you assist the manager with administiion of the overall operations of a pet salon. You interview, train, and sometimes supervise all dog groomers and salon employees, ensuring they complete all training requirements and maintain safety standards provided by the company.
• You offer ongoing learning opportunities and evaluate pet styling and grooming jobs to maintain a high quality of service.
• Other responsibilities include performing grooming services yourself, conforming to client requests and meeting needs for specific breeds while ensuring all hired groomers follow the same standards.

Position Duties:

Team Management

• Maintains optimum staffing and development with all employees
• Assist and sometimes create staffing schedule and monitors daily schedules
• Leads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team-oriented culture.
• Delivers written performance reviews and give employees positive written acknowledgement when due
• Onboards all employees and ensures each employee is trained
• Assist admin with any duties that may need an exctra hand in
• Correspond with clients and potential new clients
• Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to Pink Poochie’s safety and cleaning standards.
• Conduct interviews

Financial and Administrative

• Develops team in selling services.
• Communicates any concerns or needs to the owner proactively and partner to resolve issues.
• Manages inventory, including ordering and tracking shipments of supplies and retail items

Customer Service and presentation

• Maintains a neat and organized environment at all times.
• Sets the example for the team and holds accountable to internal and external customer service standards.
• Keeps the team members engaged in their duties

Other Duties

• groom 3 to 4 dogs a day, and work in the office, on the road or at home for the remainer of the work shift
• Assist with training new staff and conducting new staff orientations, weekly.

Requirements:

• Must LOVE dogs and be comfortable and confident in handling dogs of all sizes (and occasionally cats)
• Must work well individually and in a team environment
• Ability to perform in a high-energy, fast paced environment
• Ability to multi task and manage time without supervision
• Superior customer service skills (prompt, courteous and professional)
• Professional and neat appearance in compliance with dress code
• Comfortable working in a mobile unit
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand for 8 hour shifts as well as lift up to 50 lbs
