PURPOSE:
As an HR Generalist in your role your primary purpose will encompass a range of HR responsibilities. This is a collaborative role that will work cross-functionally with various departments. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Some key areas of responsibility include, but are most certainly not limited to:
- Manage the HRIS System Managing and documenting all personnel changes in system.
- Assisting employees with HRIS (login, password reset, training).
- Manage benefit profiles within HRIS (UKG)
- Run ad hoc reports.
- Maintains and updates employment records in the HRIS regarding salary changes, promotions, terminations, and all other applicable changes internally.
- Responds to initial employee relations and performance management matters from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assists with job posting and the recruitment processes.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Suggest and implement changes to company policies in keeping with our people-first mentality.
- Collaborate with HR team to refine operations processes.
- Successfully collaborate to build and maintain relationships with various departments and team members.
- Collaborate and complete HR projects as needed.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Record Keeping audits and filing.

- Coordinate with benefit providers/brokers to ensure smooth and efficient administration and enrollment.
- Researches, resolve, and respond to employee benefit inquiries and issues, leave administration, HRIS questions, and employment verifications.
- Facilitate full cycle Open Enrollment process including plan renewals, design and delivery of communication materials and strategy
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, FMLA and Workers’ Comp, Paid Family Leave
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave, accommodation law, and state and local laws.
- Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules.
- Ensures compliance with annual reporting requirements like EEO-1 reporting, OSHA, etc.
- Manage Form 5500 filings and all related benefit plan audits
- Unemployment claims
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Driven, self-starter with 4 years of direct HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
- Experience in implementing, managing, and working within HRIS platform.
- Experience administering benefits.
- Self-directed. You love teaching yourself new things and have an active interest in
- Highly detailed oriented and thorough
- Knowledge of employment law/compliance and state/federal regulations
- Customer focused and interpersonally savvy.
- Demonstrated professional level of flexibility, creativity, and adaptability to ever changing situations.
- Able to take initiative, problem solve, and provide prompt and professional customer service to employees.
- Preferred Hospitality Experience
- Bi-lingual in Spanish

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages, and other items, to walk short distances, and have the ability to sit and stand for periods of time.

WORK LOCATION:
In person, 5 days a week.
