SUMMARY OF POSITION:
A Credit Analyst should demonstrate commitment to delivering distinctive service. This position will be responsible for providing the credit analysis and underwriting support to Credit Advisors for new and renewed credit requests. This position is also responsible for assisting with ongoing portfolio management and preparation of underwriting documentation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and over the telephone. Respond to client inquiries and satisfactorily resolve client issues. Support firm-wide achievement of the three-ring standard (all phones answered by a live person within three rings).
- Provide credit support to Credit Advisors by completing financial statement spreads, performing industry analysis, identifying questions arising from the financial statements and trends within the spreads.
- Utilize industry data to perform market analysis for commercial real estate projects and prepare sizing model for commercial real estate transactions.
- Complete appropriate borrower risk rating matrix and global cash flow.
- Provide input to Credit Advisors regarding potential changes in the client's financial risk profile. Must meet all Pinnacle standards for appropriate risk rating as well as credit soundness and critical action standards (KPI's).
- Assist Credit Advisors with Portfolio Management including covenant checks, review of borrowing bases, and loan reviews. Loans with financial covenants, borrowing bases or margin requirements are to be tested as prescribed in the loan documents, and if waivers occur, they are to be properly documented and approved.
- Participate in discussions with Credit Advisors, Financial Advisor, and Senior Credit Officers as time permits.
- May assist the Credit Advisor with portions of Deal Summaries and/or Credit Memos and other duties as needed.
- Meet all the client's financial needs, both business and personal, and refers clients to other specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc. as appropriate.
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
DESCRIPTION OF EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent - College degree is preferred in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or another business-related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in financial services, 10 years preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of financial statements and spreading software.
- Working knowledge of the lending process.
- Knowledge of Banking Compliance and Security Regulations and Procedures.

- The physical activities of this job include but are not limited to the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, use of manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, and the ability to hear. Often long periods of mental concentration are required. Other activities are the ability to bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp.
