Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovative aerospace components. They are seeking a highly motivated Accountant (Cost) to join our growing finance team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, supporting our mission to propel the future of flight.
What You'll Do
- Developing and analyzing cost standards
- Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
- Prepare monthly general ledger entries: cash, prepaid, accruals, allocations, intercompany, and lease accounting
- Prepare account reconciliation and roll-forward schedules
- Prepare and file sales & use tax, business property tax
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, verifying accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within the aerospace manufacturing industry
- In-depth understanding of GAAP and strong analytical skills
- Aerospace & defense industry experience a plus
- Costing experience strongly preferred
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
