What is the purpose of this study?
Healthy Volunteer Trails are a routine but vital part of Clinical Research. The purpose of this type of research is to study how medications are metabolized in healthy individuals and to determine an effective dose. It is important for researchers to understand how medications are metabolized in the body under clinically controlled conditions. For this reason, things like caffeine and physical activity are limited during inpatient stays.
Patient safety and comfort is our highest priority. Participants will stay in spacious rooms with access to TV, individual bathrooms and Wi-Fi. All meals are provided during the inpatient stay. Study participants will receive a single dose of medications and have several small blood draws. There will be nine, brief follow up visits after the inpatient stay consisting of a single blood draw.
How much are participants compensated?
Study participants will receive $500 per day in clinic and $150 in compensation per outpatient visit.
