About The Job
This job is a member of the Attendance Management Delivery team within the People/HR Division. This position will assist the AM team in analyzing reported Family Medical Leave Administration (FMLA) and MLOA requests; to make determinations based on state and federal regulations; and to ensure that on-going claims management meets company service standards and industry best practices.
Specifically, youll do the following:
- Establishes FMLA claims; tracks and codes documentation in accordance with internal workflow processes.
- Analyzes FMLA claims to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with state and federal regulations; acts as technical advisor/resource for the team.
- Provides information to claimants regarding claims application and processing.
- Manages claims ensuring compliance with FMLA guidelines.
- Directs and monitors workflow and workload assignments for the team.
- Refers cases to supervisor and management as appropriate; acts as backup to FMLA supervisor as needed.
- Maintains professional client relationships.
- Conducts diary reviews of claims as directed by management.
- Assists supervisor in identifying training needs and in developing training programs to increase proficiencies within the team; trains and coaches colleagues as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
- Travels as required.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma/GED required- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Knowledge of state and federal FMLA regulations and medical claims management
Experience directly reviewing/adjudicating FMLA cases
Previous experience with state leaves, lost time data, policy administration or attendance
Proficient or Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with timekeeping systems and payroll cycles
