TITLE: Teller/Customer Service Representative
LOCATION: Brunswick
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Part Time, Non Exempt
AVAILABILITY: 25 hours per week; Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday 8:30am-6:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm
Position Summary:
As a Teller, provide Bank customers with a variety of specific services, mostly involving the exchange of cash and/or negotiable items in a friendly and professional manner, while referring additional Bank products and services.
As a Customer Service Representative deliver quality customer service and consultatively recommend Bank products and services as customers express an interest or need. This includes assisting and responding to customers and prospects on the phone, as well as in person.
Essential Job Functions:
Deliver first-class concierge customer service to consumers consistently.
Wait on customers and process their transactions, including Deposits/withdrawals to accounts, payments on loans, check cashing, Money order purchases, etc.
Calculate and count change and/or monies due from customers, based on the transactions they request.
Promote & sell Bank services and products to customers in a consultative manner.
Perform daily proof of transactions and cash.
Perform computer transactions to affect the customer's accounts when transactions are made.
Sell loan services, interview loan applicants, preliminarily process loan applications for all loans, except mortgages.
Recommend, sell, open, maintain, service, close and renew (if appropriate), all types of deposit services.
Recommend/refer investment options and insurance products.
Handle auxiliary requests regarding non-deposit products and services.

Lease, provide access to and close safe deposit boxes.
Education & Experience:
A high school graduate or GED required or current high school student anticipating graduation.
Recent Retail and/or cashier/teller experience preferred.
Prior experience with Retail sales strongly preferred.

Required to pass the NYS exam to become a Notary Public within 90 days of accepting position (Study for this exam is independent, but the Bank will pay for the test.)
