Job Summary
Assist in all the logistical work of bringing parts, paperwork, and tooling in small quantities to work areas and minimize work-in-process inventories to eliminate waste while providing excellent customer service.
- Reports any discrepancies or damage to the team leader or supervisor
- Reacts to and expedites rush orders and other conditions that affect work output
- Displays prompt and accurate delivery of parts, paperwork, and/or tooling to designated areas via forklift, handcart, or manually
- Helps in production to rack, un-rack, and pack as needed and workload dictates
- Checks product to paperwork
- Keeps work area and equipment clean, safe, and orderly
- Assist with keeping all tooling, material storage, and production areas in a neat and orderly condition
- Works safely at all times and complies with safety regulations
- Offers suggestions relative to improvements on methods, procedures, housekeeping, safety, etc.
- Operates all material handling equipment in a manner that ensures the utmost safety of all employees
- Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed
- Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air
- Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Various chemicals used in the process
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
- Must possess basic math skills
- Ability to read, comprehend and write English on documents such as work orders, safety instructions and dispositions of parts.
- Ability to speak English sufficiently to allow for adequate communications in emergencies and to allow for effective cooperation with team mates.
