Role
The Installation Crew Chief has broad responsibilities, and thus is a key member of the Conair Team and a critical part of all phases of new projects.
The Installation Crew Chief is responsible for coordinating the work of a traveling installation team, while also serving as a working member of that team.
This position reports to Installation Manager and is located in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates / prioritizes the work of a traveling Conair Installation Team. Responsible for making decisions on work flow and other aspects of the job for the team.
- Coordinates work schedules with Dispatcher, and Project Managers. Work with Conair Project Managers to coordinate installation work per the needs of the project.
- Work safely; wear proper safety equipment, understand safe work practices, and refuse any team member to do any work in an unsafe manner.
- Provides daily job progress reports to properly document the work of the team.
- Coordinates project site needs with Dispatcher and Project Managers; items such as needed parts, tools, drawings, equipment, and change order requests.
- Travel by truck or by airplane to customer sites to install Conair equipment. Typical deployments are targeted for 10 days on, 4 days off, but may vary widely due to job demands.
- When not deployed on installation jobs, performs a variety of tasks in the PiovanGroup Franklin factory.
- Other duties as assigned.
