PIPECARE US is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing tool installation, repairs, and maintenance of in-line inspection equipment working out of our Houston office location.
The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills and excellent communication. They will have a proven track record of client satisfaction and is motivated to provide superior service.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, prepare, pack and transport ILI tools and other auxiliary equipment to the project site.
- Calibrate or verify calibration, inspect, and test inspection equipment prior to mobilization.
- Complete tool preparation checklists, project-related procedures, and job safety analysis documents
- Provide service and client support during the equipment setup, tool launching, and receiving.
- Launch, track, receive ILI tools, clean and re-pack equipment after the run is complete.
- Operate hand/power tools, hoists, and cranes as required.
- Perform equipment troubleshooting and repairs, verify data quality, generate field reports.
- Prepare and submit ILI data and field reports to the data analysis department.
- Disassemble and clean tools after project completion.
- Maintain a safe and professional work atmosphere.
- Participate in training as necessary, supervise and assist junior field technicians with training and advancement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Discuss equipment and tool requirements including auxiliaries, AGM's, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares, toolboxes, and all other required tools for use in the field, etc.
- Study and analyze the project information document, operation manuals, pigging procedures, and other project-related documents.
- Execute field work in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in accordance with PIPECARE QA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource, and financial planning.
Requirements:
- The candidate could have an education background or equivalent experience either in mechanical or electrical field (preferred).
- Must have 3 years of work experience in a similar position.
- Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level
- Ability to travel extensively.
