Piper companies is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a leading diagnostics and laboratory solutions company by supporting their site in Charlotte, NC. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing blood collections through venipuncture, labeling patient samples, centrifuging specimens, updating patient information, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities for the Phlebotomist include:
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, and store patient samples according to established procedure
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order
- Package specimen for transport or store specimen sample according to the required temperature by placing samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labeling, and following standard operating procedures
Qualifications for the Phlebotomist include:
- 0-2 years' of work experience performing venipunctures preferred, but not required
- Phlebotomy Certification, or relevant experience
Compensation for the Phlebotomist includes:
- Salary Range: $14-$18/hr based on experience
