Piper Companies is currently seeking a Process Development Chemist to work for a multinational CDMO located in the Kennett Square area.
Responsibilities of the Process Development Scientist:
- Working under general supervision, plan designs, implements and analyzes laboratory experimentation to purify, isolate and analyze APIs, intermediates, natural extracts, etc.
- Basic maintenance of laboratories and equipment such as HPLC, UHPLC, GC etc.
- Preparation and communication of scientific and technical presentations, updates and reports
- Technical evaluation with Sr. Process Development Scientist and Project Coordinator to prepare proposals
- Support for business development and engineering teams as needed
Qualifications of the Process Development Scientist:
- 2 years' experience in laboratory environment
- Experience with and knowledge of analytical and preparative chromatography
- Experience using HPLC/UHPLC instruments and related software such as Empower
- Understanding of common R&D and manufacturing practices and regulations regarding PPEs, handling solvents and chemicals
- Confident presentation skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time while undertaking benchwork
Compensation for the Process Development Scientist:
- Salary: $70,000
- Full Benefits--PTO included, permanent position
