Lead Solar Technician

We are looking for a motivated Technician to join an industry-leading organization that is dramatically impacting the renewable energy industry in North America.

Title: Lead Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician

Type: Full-time, permanent position with full benefits

Reports to: Solar Site Manager

Department: Geothermal/Solar Operations and Maintenance

Location: McCamey, Texas

Schedule:

• 5 working days a week (40 hours a week on average with a maximum of 12 hours a day).
• Work 1 in every 4 weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all power plant equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Conduct power plant equipment readings, safety walks, scheduled maintenance activities, etc.
• Conduct required documentation/reports and generate maintenance records.
• Take responsibility for managing specially designated projects on site.
• Take lead in scheduling work and/or setting direction for other staff.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have worked in a Lead Tech role previously. If not, they need to have at least 3 years of experience in a Solar Tech role and demonstrate the right competencies to step into leadership.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and run routine preventative maintenance initiatives.
• Solid background in power generation/energy (renewables preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
• Completion of the plant operations qualifications program.
• Experience using maintenance management systems (SAP) preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willing to relocate to McCamey, TX.

Pay: From $34.00 per hour
