What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Counsel position at PIPESTONE?
Objective: Advise executive and senior management teams on various matters including corporate governance oversight, litigation management, and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Corporate Governance Oversight
- Business unit and division legal consult to help ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review contracts for all business units and help in negotiation as well as helping with drafting of necessary contracts.
- Assist in all nutrient management plans to help ensure compliance.
- Perform necessary tasks in all litigation areas.
- Maintain all corporate and managed client records.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Function as a team member and be able / willing to assist other team members when necessary.
- Willing to work on other duties and projects as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor of Law Degree and Juris Doctorate
