Maintenance Supervisor
Objective: Responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment at all Pipestone Management facilities. Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems. Perform the work of maintenance employees and other duties as required.
(Will serve southeast South Dakota)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and assign the work of maintenance employees
- Establish programs and procedures as needed to train maintenance employees and efficiently achieve our maintenance objectives.
- Inspect completed work for quality
- Determine material, equipment, and supplies needed to accomplish maintenance functions of the department and order from vendors as needed.
- Approve timesheets and necessary records and submit to the appropriate department within the company
- Coordinate or install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems at all locations
- Coordinate and inspect major contract work on electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in all locations
- Schedule maintenance teams across the System
- Exercise cost consciousness with repair and maintenance items and direct cost effective purchases with accounting staff and site managers
- Monitor maintenance budgets for all locations
- Other projects and special assignments as needed to achieve the overall maintenance and construction objectives of the System
- Inventory control and monitoring to insure stock items are available and charge to locations accurately
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- Ability to train, develop and lead a team of maintenance employees
- Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees/vendors/contractors
- Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed
- Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions
- Computer experience in Outlook, Word and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and effective time management to meet deadlines
- Some overnight travel required, must have a valid driver's license with a clean record
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education: BS degree or some post secondary education or trade school training or equivalent experience
Experience: 3-5 years in Maintenance field, 2 years of supervisory experience
Agricultural experience preferred
Salary : $59,700 - $75,600
