Description
The CIC Life Skills Manager will coordinate with CIC Team Lead to oversee and facilitate groups and programs for youth by implementing PAYA Life Skills Curriculum for youth in the Community Intervention Center three times daily. This position will also coordinate the follow-up phone call and text procedure to connect youth to services using the universal screening, ACE, and PACE questionnaire and information gathered from childhood and responsible parties. The CIC life skills Manager requires a strong leader who effectively works with youth brought in by law enforcement and impacted by crises, including trauma, poverty, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and threats to self and others. The CIC Life Skills Manager will develop, implement, and facilitate parent and caretaker education and support groups. The candidate must be able to train and work cooperatively with others, including law enforcement, youth, parents, other Pivot staff, and partners at local, state, and national levels.

Responsibilities
· Implementation of Life Skills, Education, and Support groups Curriculum
· Complete pre and posttest for every group provided outside of CIC.
· Provides group intervention for youth experiencing a crisis, trauma, or needing emotional and mental health support or other related issues.
· Will complete all required documentation and tracking data to be shared internally and with partners.
· May provide training and consultation to administrators, teachers, counselors, and staff on classroom behaviors and interventions.
· Complete all requirements for grants and funding sources.
· Conduct 30, 60, and 90-day follow-up phone calls and texts.
· Help CIC with intake and processing of youth as needed.
· Will complete all required documentation and tracking data to be shared internally and with partners.
· May provide training and consultation to administrators, teachers, counselors, and staff on classroom behaviors and interventions.
· Assists the youth, workers, counselors, and parents/guardians in obtaining information about intervention procedures, practices, and referrals for youth treatment services.
· Cooperates with local, state, federal, and approved private agencies involved with student health and well-being.
· Develops relationships with community organizations, agencies, and therapists to provide parents and youth with referrals.
· Maintains required confidentiality of any wellness or mental health program. Adheres to confidentiality requirements, including FERPA (Education) & HIPPA (Mental Health).

Supervises CIC Services Coordinator
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
· possess a 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, in social services, criminal justice or related field, with at least two years’ experience working with youth in need
· certification as a Case Manager II or III required, if not case management certified must be willing to complete
· experience teaching life skills to youth in need

F. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must:
· be at least 21 years of age, pass an OSBI criminal background investigation and not be listed in any Registry of Sexual Offenders (through fingerprinting paid for by Pivot, Inc.)
· pass a drug test (paid for by Pivot, Inc.)
· be compassionate, respectful and tolerant of a wide variety of personalities and persons including youth,
parents, other team members, and those who refer youth to the shelter
· be reliable and dependable
G. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
Applicant must:
· possess Case Management I or III certification or be working toward certification
· possess and produce a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance verification
· must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid Certifications
· must obtain MAB training
· must agree and attend training including but not limited to mediation, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and others.

A. Physical Demands:
· Includes standing, walking, bending, carrying, lifting, hand and finger dexterity, kneeling, vision and hearing.

o Carrying: may carry up to 50 lbs. May move equipment (average push force 20 lbs.)

o Pushing: average push force of 20 lbs. per day
o Reaching: reaches overhead up to 50 times per day
o Hand/finger dexterity: may apply pressure with hands. May utilize keyboard up to six hours per day.
o Kneeling: may assume hand/knee position up to 25 times per day
o Vision: must be able to see in order to read, write, provide client care, supervision and assess client condition
o Hearing: must have hearing sensitivity, aided or unaided, sufficient to hear low level conversations of clients and equipment alarms set at usual levels. May utilize telephone three to five hours per day
