Job description

This position is Remote but does require you to travel nationwide extensively.

The role of the Onsite Project Representative is to act as a liaison between Client and project stakeholders to manage elements of major retail new-build and remodel in-store projects. Projects may vary by store or region, based on many market factors and variances.

Duties and responsibilities

· Reviews scope and goals defined by AutoCAD store plan and evaluates each component as a part of an in-store punch walk process. Validates project elements for completion, deficiencies, and possible variances from stated project scope, as needed.

· Schedules and leads project punch walk with store manager, district manager, project contractor, and/or labor team.

· Inspects site and reports project status based on scope of work slated for location. Highlights areas with defects and opportunities for improvement, as needed.

· Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure collaboration and support for project success.

· Acts as primary point of contact for day-to-day communications with Client and stakeholder representatives related to punch walk process and project elements.

· Conducts regularly scheduled conference calls with Client and stakeholders to ensure communication is clear and project remains on schedule.

· Initiates daily communication of responsibility completion via email and phone with Client and stakeholders to ensure cross functional team is informed of project status.

· Clearly articulates recommendations and best practices to ensure role is supportive of Client’s efforts and creates process improvement.

· Completes reporting by location to support findings and ensures proper communication to all stakeholders so corrective action can be taken to support remedy and closeout.

· Ensures timely completion of various reporting and administrative responsibilities.

· Provides leadership, motivation, direction, guidance, and support necessary to achieve company, Client, and program objectives.

· Travels to site locations as dictated by schedule and project needs. Travel may vary as needed

Qualifications

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree; or the equivalent of 3-5 years related retail management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

· Experience in a retail setting not required but is a plus.

· Experience reading and using floor plans is not required but is a plus.

· Able to drive and has valid driver’s license and insurance as deemed necessary for position.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

· Able to manage multiple projects in a timely manner

· Able to work independently and manage time

· Able to gather and prepare store specific unit data

· Great adaptability, interpersonal, and influencing skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Consistently reports to work at assigned locations on time and prepared to perform duties of position

Proficiency in the use of computers for:

· Word processing using Microsoft Word

· Spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel

· Basic mathematic skills

· E-mail using Microsoft Outlook

· Internet

· Document editing using Nitro

Working conditions

  • Onsite Project Representative must be able to travel nationwide extensively.
  • Work is typically performed in a non-standard workplace, not an office setting.
  • Onsite Project Representative works a standard work week but may be required to work some evenings and weekends to complete assignments.
