CG Artist

Pixel Farm is seeking a passionate and imaginative artist to add to its award-winning CG animation team. Animation is a pillar of Pixel Farm’s creative repertoire, so we’re looking for someone to maintain our high standard of quality and ingenuity while pushing our design aesthetics to new heights.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• 4 years of professional experience
• Proficient knowledge of Maya
• Experience with Redshift and Houdini a plus
• Strength in lighting, texturing and rendering as well as a strong sense of composition and color
• Compositing and motion graphics skills a plus
• Strong and diverse artistic skill set
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Great team player, passionate and enthusiastic
• A strong portfolio of work and the ability to speak to artistic contributions

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with Creative Leads, Art Directors, Designers, and VFX Artists to produce outstanding work
• Develop innovative solutions to a wide variety of creative problems
• Be comfortable working as part of a team on larger projects, in either a lead or support role
• Be open to large and small requests alike – apply your expertise to every type of scenario with a positive, creative outlook regardless of scale
• Possess strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects with varying schedules
• Collaborate, communicate, and adhere to schedules and deadlines
• Exhibit client service and professionalism as an important factor of the process
• Review and critique the team’s work, as well as your own, in a constructive manner
• Drive improvement and efficiency into all methodologies and deliverables
• Proactively maintain proficiency in software packages
• Provide quality control and organization throughout the project
• Participate in organizing and delegating tasks on a project basis
• Be constructively competitive and strive to push the team to new heights
