Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier for our bustling pizzeria. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations at the front counter. Your primary responsibilities will include answering phone calls and taking orders from customers. You will also handle cash transactions, provide excellent customer service, and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities:

Answering Phone Calls: Professionally and courteously answer incoming phone calls from customers.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently over the phone.
Provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Offer recommendations and suggestions to customers based on their preferences.

Order Placement: Enter customer orders accurately into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Ensure all order details, including customization requests and delivery instructions, are correctly recorded.
Verify order information, including customer contact details and delivery addresses.
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to communicate any special requests or modifications to orders.

Cash Handling: Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
Count and balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensure proper documentation and recording of all transactions.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity while handling cash.

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service.
Assist customers with menu selections and offer recommendations.
Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues or referring them to the appropriate team member.

Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter area.
Stock necessary supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and condiments.
Keep menus and promotional materials well-stocked and organized.
Help maintain a clean and tidy dining area during slow periods.

Requirements:

Previous Experience: Prior experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with operating a cash register and handling cash transactions is an advantage.
Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or pizzeria environment is desirable.

Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Ability to listen attentively and understand customer needs.
Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Friendly and approachable demeanor with a positive attitude.
