Showroom Director

Place Showroom is looking for an experience Showroom Director to join our Showroom team!  

The Showroom Director’s main responsibility is to work closely with the Showroom teams on all coasts to ensure the showroom has a solid product assortment and samples are readily available. The Showroom Director will be responsible for liaising with the Showroom team to ensure the sales showroom is running as smoothly as possible. 

The Showroom Director will oversee and manage trade show participation, and work closely with the Brand Strategy Director on booth design and branding. This role must have a strong partnership with Sales Management to ensure all territories have sufficient road, trade show and pop-up coverage in order to exceed sales goals. 

As the Head of the Showroom Department, this roll will oversee all schematics, sample coordination, trade shows/pop-ups. This position will also work closely with HR to ensure the internship program is nurtured and executed to the candidates benefit. 

• Collaboration and execution of showroom experiences and including but not limited to the oversight of fixture development, floor planning and prototypes/renovations/enhancements  
• Develop standardized project management processes, increasing workflow and efficiencies within the showroom department 
• Work closely with Brand Strategy Director to oversee design, budget, logistics, and visual direction at tradeshows and in showroom spaces 
• Overseeing Showroom staff team of 8-10 people 
• Manage all Showrooms sample needs 
• Efficient transfer of samples across all 4 offices and brand needs 
• Travel to all Showrooms for support as needed 
• Act as an Account Executive when needed  
• Oversee all visual merchandising and brand standards   
• Create and present schematic layouts for internal review for all 4 offices 

• Strong time management skills 
• Motivated and takes initiative 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Proven ability to manage direct reports 
• 6 years of experience working in a showroom environment or visual merchandising 
• Experience working with executive team in a fast-paced environment  
• Relationship with Key show managers in Women's Apparel Industry (Magic, Coterie) 
• Strong project management skills

• Salary range: $100,000-120,000 commensurate with experience
