Job Posting for Planner/Scheduler at Planner/Scheduler
Messina Group is seeking a Planner / Scheduler for a permanent, direct-hire opportunity with our client in Chicago, a contract manufacturer and packager of a wide variety of consumer, industrial and institutional cleaning products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responding to routine daily communication with customers
Monitoring proper customer order management, shipment reporting, and invoicing
Scheduling and purchasing-mainly maintenance buying of materials for production
Locate and bid out materials either raw materials or packaging materials.
Physical inventories and reporting
Ensuring test materials are sent per customer request
Resolve discrepancies on inventory and freight/demurrage invoices
Advising customers of any production delays or problems
Monitor customer batch reports ensuring FIFO is being used properly
Developing vendor partnership and monitoring vendor performance
Work with Warehouse Supervisor, Shipping & Receiving Personnel
Help meet on-time shipping goal of 99%
Help meet shipping accuracy goal of 99%
Responsible for finished goods and material inventory accuracy
Position Qualifications:
Strong Customer Service Skills in a manufacturing environment
Shipping/Transportation experience
Basic Excel, Word
Must be a quick study and be able to juggle numerous tasks
Purchasing experience and ERP in manufacturing is REQUIRED
