Quotation Analyst

• Reporting structure: 
• Reports to the Planning Director

• Overall position description:
• The Quotation Analyst is responsible for transferring the correct information from the customers supplied Bill of Materials into our quoting software to accurately receive quotes on material and labor. Communicate any discrepancies or questions with sales and/or project managers to resolve content questions from customer supplied packages.

• Essential functions of the job:
• Prepares the BOM in quoting software based on the customer supplied information. 
• Work closely with internal teams on product related issues, customer requirements, item number discrepancies, and compliances to fulfill the quote accordingly.
• Use information from BOM to calculate the labor required 
• For repeat RFQ’s references ERP system to select part numbers and quantities needed to configure the customer’s BOM request
• Ensures the BOM content meets the company’s requirements.

Requirements

• Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Understand the basic Bill of Materials structure, including top level assemblies (TLA) and sub-assembly’s structures.
• Accuracy in determining exact part numbers and quantity of parts for BOM preparation
• Required PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Analytical skills and math competency
• Strong English communication skills both written and verbal 
• Able to collaborate and work successfully in a team environment.
• Superior attention to detail
• Ability to perform with high efficiency
• Ability to prioritize tasks and execute tasks independently.
• Working knowledge of industry standard ERP system, a Plus

• Required education and experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Prefer - Two (2) years related work history in quotations or document and data role
• Prefer – Experience with electronic components and BOMs 
• Prefer – Experience in Contract or OEM Electronics Manufacturing

• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Must be able to walk for long distances throughout the production and office areas.
