Finance Manager, Revenue

Summary

We are looking for a Finance Manager of Revenue who is responsible for the accuracy of revenue in accordance with company policies.  This includes working closely with the full revenue/cash cycle including systems, billing, cash collections, and ensuring a timely and accurate month end close.  They will interact with FP&A for financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.  This person has leadership qualities and takes opportunity to share knowledge and grow skills of the teams and colleagues they interact with.  They will report to the Senior Director of Revenue and work closely with the entire Finance team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and scale order-to-cash operations, including revenue and cash.
  • Revenue: Ensure revenue is being processed and reported in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Cash: Ensure timely payments are being received with contract terms.
• Lead in the development of internal controls through contributing to the design and managing successful execution against internal controls across order-to-cash processes.
• Assist in maintenance of revenue recognition documentation related to company policies and compliance support.
• Partner with key stakeholders to provide requested revenue reports.
• Monitor key metrics through the order-to-cash and communicate results through reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Manage and perform duties for monthly accounting close activities for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
• Coordinate with accounting team to plan and execute the assessment, collection, and remittance of sales taxes in accordance with company policies.
• Lead inquiries, requests, and activities originating from our external auditors, tax, and business consultants.
• Implement and recommend new processes and procedures that utilize technology, build efficiencies, and streamline workflows through continuous improvement.
• Strive to provide successful outcomes and effective customer relationships internally and externally.
• Develop and lead an environment that is fast-paced and strives for best-in-class status.
• Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis.

About You

As a Finance Manager, Revenue your qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (ex. accounting or finance) and minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong accounting knowledge and excellent understanding of full Order-to-Cash process.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 as it relates to the software industry.
• Experience with high growth technology company, preferably SaaS related.
• Roll-up your sleeves and can-do attitude, forward-thinking team member with strong ability to multi-task and collaborate.
• An ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues independently.
• Excellent business acumen and ability to communicate effectively across all partnerships.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
• Accounting software experience (NetSuite preferred)
