What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Tutor position at Planting Seeds Tutoring?
Here at PSAS, we believe that Enrichment Program opportunities can be incredibly powerful for all communities! We are looking for dedicated and energetic in-person instructors for middle school students at the Namaste Charter School who can start in January. The classes are:
- Test reading and math (7th grade)
This position may be best for folks looking for a supplemental income as it will be 2-4 hrs per week. The curriculum for these classes will be provided. We do have additional opportunities within the company to work as a tutor for in-person and/or online sessions. If you’re also interested in this, please let us know! - Facilitate group enrichment classes and assist students in targeted subject areas
- Contribute to a friendly and productive classroom environment
- Model and promote a growth mindset and encourage a collaborative learning environment
- Create and manage resources
- Commute to schools within Friendswood
- Meet regularly with the supervisor
- Host workshops on selected topics
Requirements:
- Must have experience working with students or children
- Must have own transportation
