Title: Procurement Junior
Location: Torrington, CT (Local Candidate Preferred )
Duration - Fulltime
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strategically source parts and sub-assemblies to low-cost suppliers including domestic and global suppliers to provide cost savings and delivery assurance for existing parts and provide competitive pricing for new product development.
· Identify new sources of supply for various commodities including (but not limited to) machining, fabrications, and weldments as well as complex sub-assemblies and modules. Ensure the potential sources have a proven quality track record and available capacity to meet potential demand.
- Gather information required for bid packages including current and future part demand, prints and specifications, quality requirements, and any other detailed information required to provide a quote to Customer.
- Send out bid packages, ensure suppliers understand the requirements, and answer questions as needed. Ensure bids are returned in accordance with all deliverables.
- Analyze bid responses and provide final sourcing recommendation including volume split (if multiple sources), basic transition plan recommendations, and business case (as required). Interact with internal and external customers to ensures deliverables are satisfied.
- Sourcing new vendor. ( Sourcing Specialist )
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- 3-5 years of experience within Supply chain management, commodity management, procurement, or a senior Sourcing role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle; SAP; Advanced Excel abilities (pivot tables, V-Lookup, macros, charting/graphing)
- Experience managing vendors; extreme customer-focus, both internal & external, and a collaborative team player
- Utilize professional network and other resources to identify capable suppliers for desired commodities
- Ability to consolidate and analyze data, draw conclusions, and clearly communicate recommended solutions is required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Salary: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
