Dog Handler
Job Description: Overseeing care of multiple dogs at a time in our busy daycare and boarding facility. Our dog handlers are actively utilizing canine learning theory to supervise play and modify behaviors of multiple dogs at a time. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to): feeding, medicating, grooming, and facility cleaning. We provide paid, in-depth training on dog behavior and training techniques. This is an extremely fun and rewarding job but it requires a very high level of mental alertness as well as physical agility and strength.
Qualifications:
- Hard-working and motivated team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to get hands dirty is required
- The ability to interact cheerfully and professionally with dogs, staff, and clients
- Experience handling dogs or other animals is a huge plus (vet techs, kennel staff, groomers, training assistants etc.)
Shifts Available: Flexible shift options available. Example of shifts: Monday – Friday: 6-2:30am, 7:30am-4pm, 8:30am-5pm, 10:30am-7pm. Saturday – Sunday: 7am-4pm, 9:30am-6:30pm. Some weekend and holiday availability is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
