What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Play Hard LLC?
Our Center is looking for a high quality and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our team!
This position will be in our toddler class working alongside another Co-Teacher. Teachers will provide care for 12-16 toddlers each day. The scheduled shift will be between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday thru Friday. However, the set schedule is subject to change to meet demand.
Applicant must have a passion for nurturing and teaching children! Ideal applicant will be reliable, enthusiastic, patient, organized, friendly, and kind-hearted. Preference given to individuals with experience and/or a current CDA.
In our Center we love to expose children to Spanish. Therefore, bilingual is a plus, but not required. Our Center focuses on creating healthy habits and encourages daily fitness participation among all staff with their children.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Engaging with children and communicating with parents
- Maintaining classroom order and cleanliness
- Creating and implementing lesson plans and goals for each student to foster their development
- Administering ASQ's
- Tracking students' attendance, diaper changes, naps, and meals
- Following DHS policies and procedures
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for children
Applicant MUST have the following:
- Be able to cover initial $53 background check and pass with no provisions
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's certifications are required
- Be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and get up and down off the floor safely
Applicant is also required to maintain at least 20 hours of annual training. Some of this training will take place on the individual's personal time. Applicant must also keep all certifications current while working at Play Hard.

We are currently operating with curbside pickup/drop off and all staff are wearing protective masks and we have temperature checks at the door. No parents are being permitted into the building at this time.

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
