Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends

Playhouse Child Care Center is a well-respected early learning childcare organization that is passionate about teaching and caring for young children. Our programs incorporate a fun and interactive environment for staff to teach and children to learn effectively. We are currently seeking a Center Director at our Sartell location. The Center Director is responsible for the overall operations of the Center which includes coordinating all aspects of planning, developing, and managing the Center. The position will ensure total quality management by upholding the highest health, safety and cleanliness standards to facilitate a positive, supportive environment for children, families, and staff. The position requires effective management skills to staff by mentoring, leading and training as well as addressing performance issues. Essential tasks necessary include evaluating classroom structure, daily schedule, and staff's interactions with children.

The Center Director is in charge of managing all facets of the program so the candidate should be a proactive person who is able to problem-solve and make sound decisions and work to implement solutions. This position is a great opportunity for an individual looking to transition beyond the classroom but still enjoy being a part of a child's development and care.

Main Job Duties:

• Responsible for the overall operations of the Center and coordinating all aspects of the program to ensure that developmentally appropriate quality child care services are provided. And that the philosophy, policies, and procedures are maintained.
• Responsible to maintain and ensure essential programs such as Parent Aware, Rule 3, and CACFP are met on an ongoing basis.
• Responsible for setting the tone of the Center.
• Provides quality customer service and a quality child care environment.
• Monitors, curriculum and staff child interactions.
• Oversee the day to day operations of the Center including biweekly payroll, weekly scheduling of staff to maintain appropriate staff to child ratios.
• Completes billing weekly and maintains family accounts in Procare to ensure accounts are in current and meet policy requirements.
• Manages staff to ensure performance standards are met including staff orientations and annual performance reviews.
• Ensures compliance with all licensing and Dept of Health standards.

Education:

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, Bachelor's preferred.

Qualifications:

• Meet DHS Rule 3 Director requirements
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Knowledge of MN Child Care licensing regulations, Rule 3
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong customer relationships
• Microsoft office, excel, Outlook and Procare Software
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs. with frequent standing, walking, bending and other physical requirements to perform the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
