Buyer
PlayPower’s Buyer supports the purchasing and supply teams by ensuring a smooth supply of materials and services to PlayPower. You’ll be a part of a collaborative, creative team bring play and recreation to the world! The Buyer will identify qualified supply sources, maintain long-term commercial relationships and coordinate the delivery of the right parts, at the right time, and in the right quantity. We are looking for someone with experience in a manufacturing setting with $25 million or more in revenue. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ERP systems and be experienced in cutting PO's, managing vendors and working across multiple product lines. This role is based in-person out of our Dallas, TX office.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Procure materials, supplies, equipment and services by utilizing the ERP and other system tools to make replenishment decisions and issue Purchase Orders to prevent stock-out events.
- Complete non-production and MRO purchase transactions by analyzing pertinent requisition data, determining necessary action and preparing purchase order transaction.
- Adjust PO delivery schedules as required by reviewing inventory levels, consumption rates, and lead-times to determine and implement optimal replenishment plan
- Establish optimum re-order points by reviewing purchasing data such as historical demand profiles, lead-time, price, transaction costs, freight costs, and design change schedules.
- Execute engineering change notice implementation by liaising with Engineering to determine change-over date criticality, with the supplier to determine costs and lead-times of the change, and adjusting the replenishment plan and related documentation accordingly to meet the least cost timing.
- Provide support to other teams by obtaining freight quotes, crating quotes, coordinating ship dates and executing shipping transactions for direct-to-customer ship products.
- Enter receiving data into the ERP system and making inventory adjustments when stock levels are determined to be incorrect.
- Keep accurate records of all purchase requisitions, requests for quotations, price proposals, purchase orders, delivery receipts, contracts, forecasts, and non-conforming material, as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of two (2) years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Must be computer and office technology literate.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience with Materials Requirements (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
- Experience with Supplier Certification and Evaluation, Contract Negotiation, Lean Purchasing Practices and a proven record of Professional Development is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Office setting; primarily computer and phone-based work.
- May be exposed to heat, noise, dust, etc. while in manufacturing environment.
- Personal protective equipment required when entering production shop area.
