Job Description
The General Manager sets the tone for the dispensary maintains the culture of the business, protects the Pleasantrees brand, inspires the team and shows compassion for our guests. The General Manager is responsible for overall management of the dispensary, team members, merchandise, and guest experience. They will also be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability by focusing on key business initiatives. Responsibilities

- Accountability for the team and the customer experience in your dispensary.
- Demonstrate and lead an outstanding guest experience and establish a sales-focused culture.
- Analyze the business, propose and implement action plans to improve results, generate sales for each product category creating new clients and reactivating former ones.
- Responsible for strengthening and upholding all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) making sure the day-to-day operations of the dispensary are consistent, efficient, and compliant.
- Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the selling floor and leading by example.
- Embraces diversity and inclusiveness through our people, guests and brand.
- Adhere to and uphold loss prevention systems to reduce opportunities for loss and endangerment.
- Complete all necessary administrative work including, staff schedules to ensure appropriate dispensary coverage, assign daily tasks, and respond to emails in a timely manner.
- Control daily invoices and supply orders to effectively lower costs and ensure efficient operation of the dispensary.
- Ensure the accuracy, reconciliation, and ongoing management of inventory audits and the solutions or reporting of discrepancies to legal and compliance.
- Review and submit sales and operational reports to management.
- Enforce company policies and staff accountability while adhering to disciplinary procedures.
- Provides immediate “in the moment” feedback to all employees, through active floor presence and engagement.
- Ensure all state license renewals and requirements are maintained, including the dispensary’s retail license, staff agent registrations, responsible vendor training, and staff personnel files.
Experience and Requirements
- 3 years of experience managing a fast-paced retail environment.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening (excludes THC).
- Must be compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the Cannabis industry.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 25lbs.
- Basic to advanced computer skills required.
- Microsoft Suite and Retail POS knowledge required.
