HOW YOU WILL DO IT Purpose Statement: Responsible to have a basic understanding of all processes in the focus factory and to assist engineers with projects and experiments. Key Job Accountabilities: Perform time studies as needed to demonstrate the expected output for an operation, for cost recovery systems, and for factory layouts. Support drafting needs for engineering projects and documentation (Assembly Build Instructions, Specific Function Training, Equipment Operating Instructions). Assist in the safety and ergonomics of the focus factory so that the designs and layouts of the factory ensure a safe work environment for the employees. Create/update CAD layouts for facilities and manufacturing processes. Assist the Industrial Engineers, Process Engineers and Quality Engineers in projects and experiments that reduce costs and improve the manufacturing flow of products. Additional Accountabilities: Assist in reducing the manufacturing cost of labor and equipment within the factory. Establish and maintain ESD compliant work areas and audits. Be involved, as needed, with materials to incorporate point of use storage and proper material handling methods. Monitor and work to reduce manufacturing costs and cycle times. Review engineering changes as needed. Assist the Manufacturing Engineers in the development of the monthly report and the factory in establishing and collecting metrics. Investigate labor savings projects based on performance results or management suggestions. Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business. Additional duties as assigned. Education/Experience Qualifications: A minimum of a Associate’s degree is required. Less than One (1) year of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
