HOW YOU WILL DO IT
Purpose Statement: Responsible for working with the site Customer teams, site Functional teams, i.e. Engineering, Quality, etc., to successfully introduce new products into the Neenah site, and to lead a team that will supplement the customer focus teams during new product introductions (NPI).
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Continuously evaluate NPI and PPQP methodology for effectiveness.
- Manage and support DFx guideline development Lead Process and NPI Engineers in New Customer/Product Introductions.
- Lead Process and NPI Engineers in New Customer/Product Introductions.
- Works closely with Customer Managers/Customer Directors to stay on the forefront of new business awards to ensure early engagement of the NPI Team.
- Develop a methodical NPI approach in regards to customer engagement, PPQP, FAI, qualification, and quote to actual gap analysis.
- Accountable to execute on Plexus’ Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Additional Accountabilities:
Support Tooling and Process Qualification/Validation.
- Lead the development of Process and NPI Engineering Resources.
- Maintain and strengthen the customer relationship during crucial and NPI periods. Promote a professional relationship with the customer by maintaining and protecting the company’s image with respect to ethics, honesty, and competitiveness.
- Ensure NPI process closure is effective so that product is production stable before NPI team disengages with customer focus team.
- Develop and maintain NPI timelines for customer new product introductions.
- Allocate resources to the customer focus teams to add supplemental support to the team during new product introductions.
- Communicate Plexus NPI process to new and existing customers when appropriate.
- Support site capacity, both human and equipment. Work with human resources and site engineering to facilitate capital expenditure planning.
- Engage other Plexus business segments (i.e. Engineering Solutions, Supply Chain, Costing), when needed to improve NPI execution.
- Work in conjunction with Plexus Transition Management if available.
- Guide and mentor NPI Engineers and other support team members.
- Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10-20%).
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or Technical/Engineering is required.
- Three (3) years of related experience is required; Five (5) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

- Previous NPI experience (3 years plus) is highly desirable
- Minimum 5 plus years working in manufacturing operations environment
- Excellent PC MS Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent Project Management experience and PC software skills, preference MS Project
- Superior written, spoken, and listening communications skills and abilities
- Excellent Customer-centric demonstrated skills and abilities
- Superior matrix leadership skills and abilities
- Must have exceptional organizational, written and verbal skills
- A general knowledge of manufacturing, business, finance and program management is required; related contract manufacturing experience is preferred
- General office equipment and materials.

- The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
