Overview

A Plum Healthcare Group Nursing Home Administrator is a special calling for healthcare leaders who strive to provide high-caliber medical care for patients in late adulthood. Our Administrators hold a senior leadership-level role and typically report to our Area Presidents who, themselves, have led our facilities and the teams who serve our patients.

These executive administrators are given the tremendous responsibility of seamlessly coordinating the delivery of comforting treatment and fun live-in social activities for elderly patients to enjoy good quality of life.  As one of our Administrator’s, you’ll have the rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of millions…one person at a time.

Because our Administrators are at the forefront of their staff, they are responsible to manage the facility's everyday operations.  This spans many roles from overseeing patient admissions to financial planning to personnel management. In addition, it is an expectation that our Administrators stay on top of the latest protocols for safe, effective senior residential care.

• significant responsibility of planning, coordinating, and supervising premiere healthcare delivery.
• oversee every aspect of their facilities to ensure that up-to-date federal, state, and local regulations are being met.
• act as primary liaison for residents, families, nurses, healthcare staff, and the general public.
• possible daily tasks of managing insurance billing, creating work schedules, maintaining patient records, supervising admissions, hiring new healthcare professionals, purchasing medical equipment, and directing 24/7 care.
• attending executive meetings to discuss the facility's capital expenditures, budget review, and operational policies.

• you have the leadership skills to handle the daily challenges of running a healthcare delivery system, including emergency situations.
• you have strong interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse healthcare staff and create patient relationships.
• you must possess the analytical skills to evaluate rehabilitative programs and accurately direct budgeting.
• you have decision-making abilities for creating new operational policies.
• you are detail-oriented with solid organizational skills to help protect patients' rights.

A four-year Baccalaureate degree from an accredited College or University in Healthcare Administration, Long-Term Care Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, or Management required.

A Master's degree in Health Administration (MHA) or MBA in Healthcare Management along with emphasis in Accounting and/or Finance strongly preferred.

*Attending a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) is strongly recommended.
