TITLE:CAFETERIA WORKER
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Exhibits a fundamental fondness for children.
2.Ability to follow instructions for routine tasks.
3.Capacity to assume various duties requiring moderate physical strength.
4.Proven ability to work in a polite and friendly manner with many different publics.
5.Must possess a sense of humor.
6.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Department may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO:Team Leader and/or Kitchen Manager as appropriate.
JOB GOAL:To serve the students’ needs in a pleasant, efficient manner as they relate to the School Lunch Program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
1.Assumes responsibility for food service operations as they may apply and/or are assigned to particular schools.
2.Serves food provided in an appealing manner.
3.Assures the cleaning of all serving areas and other paraphernalia related to the production, serving or storing of all foods used.
4. Participates in the limited assembly of foods, such as mixing salads, assembling sandwiches or heating of precooked foods.
5. Performs cashiering or accounting of monies collected or maintaining simple daily records.
6. Assists Cooks or Bakers in the preparation of foods.
7. Helps and assists other workers with joint tasks when other assigned tasks are completed.
8. Dresses appropriate to the tasks and the work place and to essentially meet the standards of safety, health and cleanliness.
9.Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be designated or assigned by the Kitchen Manager from time to time.
