 Key Responsibility:

• Work safely following all PLZ RVS safety guidelines
• Follow GMP requirements
• Maintain an excellent record of punctuality and attendance.
• As directed by QC Lead Sr. or QC Lead, perform all activities related to set up a new job at the line, including but not limited to: set scales and weigh checkers, verify initial weights, review BOM, labels, date code determination and communication to line, etc.
• Maintain communication with Mechanics/Line leads if nonconformities are found inform QC Lead and follow chain of command, if issues cannot be resolved or help is needed to move forward with set up.
• Perform visual inspections at pre-established frequencies and maintain Masters/Standards as required.
• Perform other tests or checks, label heights, torques, vacuum etc. as F&A specifies
• Pull samples as needed for Customer, stability, retains, specs, etc
• Make calculations for SPG and understand label claim, basic understanding of metric system is needed.
• Verify componentry versus the Bill of Material and resolve any discrepancy with Line Lead, communicate to QC Lead or Supervisor if questions arise.
• Help QC Lead or QC Supervisor in non-routine experimentation/problem solving
• Great and frequent communication with line leads and packers to explain acceptance quality criteria and expectation
• Report out of calibration or out of specification condition to QC Lead as needed
• Work with different measuring tools: rules, scales, gages, visual aids as trained.
• Bi-lingual a plus
• Any additional duties as directed by QCLead or QCSupervisor.

The pay rate for this position is $17.50 per hour for the day shift opening. 

- The day shift hours are Monday through Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm (4/10 schedule).

The hiring base salary range above represents what PLZ reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
