The Director of Directory Services is part of PNC’s Digital Workplace organization and is responsible for the management of PNC’s workforce and customer directories, residing across multiple environments. You will be accountable for leading a functional team of lead and senior technical specialists for Active Directory and Oracle Unified Directory, in the deign and delivery of strategic initiatives for both workforce and PNC customers. The ideal candidate will have the correct mix of people/management skills and technical expertise in Azure Active Directory, Active Directory and Oracle Unified Directory environments. Responsibilities specific to this role: • Manage a team of security and infrastructure engineers responsible for filling operational (BAU) access requests across all functions of Directory Services (Active Directory, Oracle Unified Directory, accounts, applications, etc.). • Ensure Directory Services provides our internal and external customers with exceptional service, security, and ensures all SLAs are met or exceeded. Establish continuous monitoring of performance metrics and leverage metrics to drive process improvements. • Drive team members toward objectives and key results both BAU and strategic, including process improvement, continuous risk reduction, and excellent customer service. • Technical Functional manager and subject matter expert for Azure Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directories. As functional manager of Directory Services, you will lead a team of lead and senior security specialists to delivery on PNC’s strategic Identity Access Management, Adaptive Trust, and Zero Trust initiatives. Actively participate in the development of directory services strategy and strategic planning of Access Management and Trust Programs. • Lead the functional team to translate strategy and agreed strategic program goals into tactical and actionable roadmaps for workforce and customer directories. Drive the functional team to execute on the roadmap and deliver on internal and external commitments. • Manage budgets (technology, travel, training, etc.), resource allocation and forecast daily scheduling of directory services teams. • Represent functional team in project meetings and request for new services/initiatives, liaise with security and identity teams in resolution of compliance, vulnerability, and audit callouts. • Partner with key business stakeholders within PNC (HR, Cyber Security Architecture, Identity and Access Management, Development, Engineering, Operations, CMDB) to develop innovative solutions in order to improve the quality of directory service delivery within PNC. • Provide guidance and direction on controls and practices to internal customers. • Instill global mindset and effective collaboration to team members. Preferred Qualifications: • Effective communicator and a developer of people; able to work with a broad cross section of people in direct and matrix relationships • Demonstrate success as a change agent leading significant transformational initiatives in organizations • A fast-paced leader and solution-focused enabler for results in a performance culture but can also achieve results in a collaborative manner • Experience with Azure Active Directory, Active Directory and Oracle Unified Directory implementation in multi forest / multi directory environment • Understanding of cloud and on-premise directory security concepts for privileged access, conditional access, continuous access evaluation, and adaptive trust across identities, devices, networks, applications and data • Sound working knowledge of security sub-subsystems and 3rd party security products in use on PNC Directory systems, specifically QUEST Active Directory Recovery manager, Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), Microsoft Defender, PING Federate • Broad and deep background in all aspects of Identity and Access Management concepts, from HR driven processes (on/off-boarding, transfer), to IAM compliance issues, privileged access management, and vulnerability management • Strong analytical skills on the team’s services, processes, workload and metrics • Have a global mindset and collaborate effectively within and across teams in different parts of the globe • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback • Sound understanding of information security principles and IT infrastructure including operating systems, applications and communications and network protocols • The ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the operational and cultural issues relevant to realizing superior results • Must be flexible and able to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment • Be a self-motivated and results oriented individual with an attention to driving aggressive project timelines and schedules • Strong ability to work independently and in collaboration with others to achieve a high level of success • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to develop, maintain and foster constructive relationships with others • Dynamic, hard-working and ambitious individual, with excellent oral and written communication skills • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information security or equivalent job experience • 10 years IT experience strongly preferred Job Description Delivers products/services in alignment with business needs and objectives.
