JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for motivating and directing a commissioned sales team to meet dealership sales goals and objectives while creating positive customer experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure efficient and profitable operation of Sales department that meets company expectations
- Ensure adequate number of trained salespeople are available and on duty during hours of operation
- Arrange training and scheduling for all Sales department staff
- Review previous day customer summary sheet with each sales person to evaluate daily performance
- Address performance successes and shortcomings as necessary
- Approve all motorcycle sales
- Ensure used motorcycles purchased or taken as trade are valued at fair market price
- Ensure that all units new/used are repaired, reconditioned or setup for sale
- Ensure that all merchandise in the department is displayed properly and that general housekeeping is done on an ongoing basis
- Ensure that the dealership’s desired product mix is available at all times
- Abide by and enforce all dealership policies pertaining to the department
- Project positive and professional image at all times
- Any other duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and dealership as a whole
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all other employees.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Computer Literate
- Energetic and self motivated
- Able to motivate a commissioned sales force
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proven leadership abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
