What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Auditor position at Point32Health?

The Senior Auditor supports the Audit Plan Owner in the execution of the annual audit plan and is responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of assigned audit activities as well as department strategic initiatives. The Senior Auditor will report to the Audit Senior Manager and work in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

  • Perform audit activities under the direction of the Audit Plan Owner and support the Auditor-In-Charge across all phases of the audit (i.e., Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting)
  • Prepare audit workpapers (i.e., narratives, process flows, risk & controls matrix) and testing procedures
  • Work collaboratively with audit team and management to evaluate controls, identify & confirm issues, and develop corrective action plans
  • Monitor and follow up on management action plans to ensure timely completion
  • Build and maintain relationships with management, establish a culture of engagement, transparency and adding value
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Detail oriented with organizational skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously and in a timely manner
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Technology and computer skills, with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Data analytics experience preferred
