Job Description
Lead the execution and completion of high-quality internal audit projects in accordance with the annual audit plan under the direction of the Director’s Audit Committee. Assess banking processes, risks, and internal controls to provide an independent evaluation of the Bank’s internal control environment and provide recommendations to improve processes and controls. Conducting these audits of systems, applications, and processes will validate whether appropriate controls are in place that promote the safety of assets, accuracy of data, operational efficiency, and compliance with applicable banking regulations.
Additionally, this function will establish audit objectives and devise the audit plan and program in line with current audit scope, strategy, and budget. This annual audit plan will evaluate risks regarding the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information, effectiveness and efficiency of operations, safety of assets, and compliance with policies, procedures, and related laws and regulations. Compliance with project timelines, timely communication of progress and any concern with deadlines is a priority. Identify issues and process enhancements, proposing solutions and root cause and effectively communicating them to Management and Board of Directors. Play an active role in discussions through constructive input while creating a professional experience with all bank employees.
Minimum Skills/Qualifications
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills (verbal / written).- Audit planning, execution, and reporting experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of internal controls within FDIC regulation Part 363.
- Working knowledge of Office 365: Teams, Word, Excel, and Banking Software.
- Excellent people skills to develop and maintain good relationships with all bank employees, Directors and external auditors.
- Excellent organizational skills to work multiple duties and comply with deadlines.
- Results-driven and proactive.
- Knowledge of internal auditing, internal controls, risk management, and accounting.
- Available to travel as needed.
Benefit Package

Points West Community Bank generally does not negotiate salary/benefit figures as discussions typically occur later in the recruiting process with qualified applicants. However, a base range for this position would generally be $60,000-$80,000 annually. Applicants compensation considerations will be based on previous work, education, experiences, and/or certifications.
