What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Creative Director position at Pollen?
How about a brief that’s completely new and different from everything else you’ve seen before? We’re building a new category of travel and a refreshingly exciting brand to own the space and we’re looking for our creative unicorn to help shape our story. If the idea of connecting with your community around your passion points and travelling to amazing destinations to create memories for life sounds exciting to you, then we believe you’ll be able to translate that excitement into stories that draw our customers.
This is an opportunity for a creative leader to influence, inspire and guide a global team of creative talent to build compelling narratives around our travel experiences with a cultural and community-driven dimension, and bring them to life through the creative. We’re looking for a strategic thinker who will guide teams through multiple campaigns while shaping our brand story and building towards a long term brand vision. You will be reporting into the Global VP of Brand and Creative and help them set the standard for creative excellence on all things brand and marketing.
If you’re an excellent writer and a conceptual thinker who can turn strategic briefs and the most aspirational ideas into fleshed out creative concepts; if you can lead through the high quality production of a full campaign suite including image spots, trailers, key art, social and digital, we’d love to meet you.
We highly encourage candidates from a media background (i.e. TV, streaming networks) who have deep experience in promoting both series and brand across multiple channels.
In the next 12 months, the Global Creative Director of the Creative Studio will:

- Lead the UK and US team of creatives, editors, copywriters, designers and motion designers to successfully execute multiple campaigns for Pollen travel experiences that span across multiple music genres, destinations and audience segments.
- Partner with the Creative Strategy team to tap into audience insights and emotional motivators for different audiences and develop a creative language that deeply resonates with those communities; executing campaigns that directly impact the sales of experiences.
- Within the first months lead the design team in standardizing Pollen’s suite of brands across all consumer touchpoints as well as produce and distribute style guides and toolkits to distribute across the org, to partners and agencies we work with.
- Lead internal teams and partner with external agencies to develop the creative direction for the Pollen brand book that cohesively brings together the brand mission, vision and voice.
- Research, explore, collaborate with the Creative Strategy team in re-thinking our creative marketing approach as well as our social content, experience branding and brand extensions. Test new ideas and formats, and work findings and results into quarterly goals.
- Partner with Global Director of Social on social formats, content ideas, digital and experiential activations to build brand awareness, social engagement and to form brand evangelists around the communities we’re serving.
- Be a player and a coach who directs and inspires teams, but also rolls up their sleeves when necessary, positively impacting the Creative team’s ability to solve for creative, timeline or process challenges.
- Make opportunities and space for creative exploration, flexing the Creative Studio’s muscles beyond the day to day of their work into new areas and ways of thinking.
- Explore opportunities for Creative Studio’s work to become visible (awards, profiles, stunts, news around experiences…) making Creative Studio a talent magnet as well as gaining visibility for the Pollen brand.
- Identify, recruit and hire exceptional creative talent and engage external partners and agencies for special projects.
