Summary of Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Restaurant Trainer is primarily responsible for training team members at new restaurant openings and current restaurants for any training needs. This role is the primary support to Operations, Marketing and support areas to stay current on company’s product launchings and business developments in order to guarantee consistency and clarity on messages to convey.
The position includes but is not limited to below key responsibilities:
• Serves as a role model by ensuring the proper execution of all Campero’s processes, systems, and standards for any training requests.
• Responsible for training and certifying new team members at new restaurant openings.
• Facilitate trainings and hands-on sessions for new launches (products/initiatives), as well as action and support plans for previously opened restaurants (e.g., underperforming restaurants, new acquisitions, etc.).
• Supports identification of future leaders among team members and facilitates the training and certification of restaurant trainers.
• Teach, coach, empower, motivate, and lead team members on new processes, process correction, expected performance and performance improvement.
• Provide positive and constructive feedback to trainees, with honesty and respect, and encourage a two-way conversation.
• Adheres to scheduled shifts and is willing to stay beyond when business or circumstances require.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• AS in Organizational Development, Training & Development, Human Resources or related field or relevant field preferred.
• 6 months of relevant experience as trainer in restaurant industry preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Confidence and ability to influence others, facilitate processes, and coach/advise managers and employees.
• Availability to travel up to 75% for extended periods of time.
• Must be Bilingual English/Spanish.
