What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visitor Control and Reception position at Pololei?
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Visitor Control and Reception to support our government customer located in Arlington, Virginia.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the site Facility Manager and Security Manager in resolving facility and security related issues.
- Greet all guests, verify if a visit authorization request was sent to the NTC or other organizations within Ste. 800, provide proper badge (if a VAR was not sent and clearance cannot be verified then an escort badge must be provided and the person treated as uncleared), and person responsible for the visitor is notified.
- Assist the NTC in preparing for key leader engagement or other large meetings. This includes preparing nametags, assist with conference room preparation, pre-printing sign-in sheet, etc.
- Validate parking requests once approved by the NTC Director or Chief of Staff.
- Gather and maintain statistical data for the formulation of required monthly reports and/or deliverables.
- Consolidate all required supply purchases in coordination with NTC Chief of Staff.
- Serve as the backup to the facility operations manager with respect to contracted after-hour guard force issues; provide operational briefs and special instructions to contracted after-hours guard force as needed, as well as visitor entry control with respect to the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
- Serve as the backup to the security manager in issuing facility badges to permanent personnel. This includes receiving the request for a badge by Government personnel, verifying the visit request and clearance, and issuing the badge the time allowed per the visit request.
- Assist the Facility Manager with escorting uncleared visitors related to facility or security matters. This includes escorting for office renovations or classified paper destruction pickups ("burn bag" runs).
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School Diploma.
- Successful completion of related DSS, DIA or SSO sponsored SCI Security Official Courses is highly preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience pertaining to successfully implementing Visitor Control operations and Security Clearance validation processes in accordance with NISPOM and various DoD Directives.
- Strong customer service skills. The ability to articulate both written and verbal communications in a professional manner with government and Contractor personnel at high levels.
- Be proficient in DISS, MS Office (Excel, Word) and have a working knowledge of Outlook Calendar features. Coordinates and manages the activity schedule and reservations for conference room meetings.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
