Role Summary:
Under the direction of the National Operations Manager and in close cooperation with the Head of National Sales, the Business Unit Manager is responsible for the overall success and growth of the assigned Region to include all Sales and Operations activities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Engage with and promote all health and safety protocols and processes at Polygon
- Utilize and advocate the Polygon Model in daily functions and activities
- Continuous development of self and team and actively engage in the Polygon Core Competency and Development Plan
- Lead and develop all Operations functions in all depots in the assigned area to include project execution and equipment readiness,
- Support team leaders to ensure successful project completion, including direct and indirect cost control, scope completion and change orders, documentation, quality-control, job-file completion and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and collaborate with Sales Team to train and assist with estimating or scoping projects in the assigned office.
- In cooperation with the Director of Client Development (DCD), drive and monitor Sales Team pipeline and account development
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Support and measure local teams to minimize out of service equipment in the assigned office and engage in activities to make out of service equipment ready to rent
- Implement best practices and processes for equipment maintenance and repair within assigned Region
- Operate and ensure all company vehicles operate in a safe and courteous manner while following federally mandated DOT regulations when applicable and completing documentation as required. Vehicles are equipped with electronic monitoring devices and drivers are required to have a minimum safety score that is determined by the Polygon EH&S Manager
- Utilize current ERP (NetSuite) for all functions of the position including but not limited to project management, asset management, inventory, purchasing, and time entry or approval
- Assist and support PIA sales management in scoping and estimating projects and applications.
- Responsible for and managing all P&L, revenue, and budget related activity for the assigned region.
- Approve payroll for direct reports per company guidelines
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of project management experience and three years supervisory experience in a service industry preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills along with technical skills
- Must be Team oriented and have a proven professional manner
- Ability to perform duties that are physical in nature
- Willing to travel on short notice. Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven business experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use IT hardware and equipment for documentation and reporting
- Ability to assist with scope and design of basic or complex projects
- Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management.

- Management of time approvals for direct reports in NetSuite and ADP per company guidelines
- Implement training and Competency Matrix for Project Managers and Operations Technicians
- Hold regular safety and coordination meetings with the Operations and Sales Team in the assigned Region
- When necessary, enforce company policy and procedure through corrective action process
- Build a strong, appropriately sized Team within the assigned Region that can handle all Polygon service lines and volume of work
- Conduct regular meetings with Team members to review performance and discuss training and development plans
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
