Polymer Labs was founded with the mission to create a neutral, open, permissionless base layer for the new internet. Polymer is at the forefront of developing Ethereum’s Interoperability Hub, building products that will enable new levels of security, user experience, and functionality that will support the mass adoption of the decentralized web. Our talented team comprises top talents from both web2 and web3, dedicated to addressing the intricate challenges within web3’s interoperability infrastructure.

This pivotal role involves managing both internal and external stakeholders to ensure developers are educated about, supported on, and engaged with the Polymer network. You will apply your experience in web2 and OSS work to the Polymer network.  This role can be thought of similarly to developer relations, sales engineers, and technical business development.


Web3 and blockchain experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the Developer Success strategy for the organization, including education, resources, outreach, community development, and feedback.
  • Assist customers with the design and implementation of their cross chain applications using the Polymer protocol.
  • Write tutorials and document case studies on various use cases of the Polymer protocol.
  • You will own and manage our developer documentation site.
  • Represent the voice of the developer for our engineering team, serving as a critical channel for feedback into the product.
  • Serve as the key intermediary between Polymer Labs' development team and the external developer ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to align Developer Success initiatives with broader company objectives.
  • Manage high-level inbound and outbound communications with the developer community, directing technical inquiries to appropriate team members as needed.
  • Curate and coordinate developer-focused events, ensuring the content is aligned with the technical roadmap, meaningful, and enriching.
  • Cultivate relationships with industry influencers and community leaders.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on Developer Success performance metrics and activities.


What You Will Achieve
  • In the first month, you will build a deep understanding of Polymer Lab’s core protocol and the broader IBC ecosystem. You will set up relationships with the team members you’ll be interacting with most. You will have time to learn about the space, our customer’s needs, and the underlying technology.
  • Within two months, you will be fully integrated into the team and establish the strategy to position Polymer and IBC as the leading interoperability solutions in the Ethereum ecosystem. Success looks like sustainable growth and scaling the adoption of Polymer’s stack.


Qualifications
  • An owner-mindset with the ability to quickly learn complex concepts and to lead the documentation and publication of these concepts
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders excelling in an ambiguous, distributed work environment
  • A self-starter, hands-on attitude that can handle ambiguity
  • An understanding of how to interact with web3 applications as a user on multiple chains (NFT and DeFi on ETH, Sol, Cosmos, etc)
  • The ability to independently own projects from inception to delivery (i.e. plan and gather requirements, collaborate with other team members)
  • Proven track record on growing and engaging developer communities
  • A passion for growing and up-leveling your peers, and have pre-existing mentoring experience and a nuanced view around how to help junior engineers grow
  • Ability to manage time and focus on the critical path of a project


Nice To Have
  • Experience with Go or C , Java, C#, Rust
  • Experience developing and or operating distributed systems at scale
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting
  • Experience with Linux and open source communities
