Desktop Support Technician

Pomeroy is currently looking for a Desktop Support Tech to work with our client located in Portage, MI. This position will be working onsite and will be a contract to hire opportunity. The main responsibility of this role is providing basic desktop, help desk and PC tech related troubleshooting support and assist with PC projects when needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Must have strong analytical, communication, and interrelation skills emphasizing quality work and the ability to interact with individuals of varying PC experience levels.
• Strong computer skills a must with proficiency in all versions of Windows, Microsoft O365, Active Directory account administration, system imaging, asset inventory and tracking.
• Experience configuring and maintaining SCCM, InTune experience a bonus.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
• Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications
• Good planning, multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills are required, in addition to an ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Should be able to demonstrate an ability to be successful with limited direction

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
• Standing, sitting, stooping and squatting can be expected along with moderate lifting of 40 lbs., or with other means transfer of personal computers, peripherals, parts, or other related items. Use small hand tools.
• Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception and ability to focus.
• Able to obtain a passport as both light domestic and international travel may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
