Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workstation System Support Associate Contractor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's computer systems by providing technical support and assistance to end-users during Operation Phoenix. This position encompasses troubleshooting, maintenance, and deployment tasks related to workstation hardware, software, and peripherals, including iPad and iPhone devices.
Key Responsibilities:
o Provide timely technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
o Build, install, maintain, and acquire desktops, laptops, software, and peripherals across various departments within PPL Companies, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
o Receive work direction from supervisors or more experienced peers on work priorities and daily assignments, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
o Effectively communicate with clients, peers, and supervisors, conveying technical information clearly and professionally to ensure thorough understanding.
o Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, peers, and management, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
o Collaborate with Technology Support Services/Managers of Information Technology/IT Development to ensure timely resolution of client issues within current Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
o Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors or management, contributing to the overall success of the IT department and PPL Companies.
Qualifications:
o Proven experience in providing technical support for workstation hardware, operating systems, and software applications, including iPad and iPhone devices.
o Proficiency in troubleshooting workstation-related issues and diagnosing hardware and software problems.
o Experience with iOS devices and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
o Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, as well as Microsoft Office and other productivity software.
o Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users effectively.
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
o Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional, Apple Certified Support Professional) are a plus.
Additional Information:
o This is a full-time contract position based in PA, covering many offices.
o Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet timelines.
o The successful candidate may occasionally need to lift and move computer equipment, up to 50 pounds.
o The successful candidate must have reliable transportation. This position will be on the road daily.
